With all the talk about UNH, nobody mentions Humana, which has been quietly killing it for the last 6 weeks.
I own Humana stock from when I worked for them and got shares at a discount in my 401k. It wasn't all that much, so I left it alone and it did well for years and then tanked last year. I have been debating what to do with it, and I was pleasantly surprised when I got my quarterly statement. It's up 50% over the last month.

BofA has raised the price target to $500. Right now, the price is $360ish. Should be a solid non AI/tech bet. It has done really well the last few months.

It’s been a solid swing trade under this administration. It’s extremely volatile because it’s so Medicare advantage heavy, and there’s a few big events every year for rate change news and star ratings bonuses that keep it in a perpetual cycle of halving and doubling.
HUM hit $430 on UNH earnings two weeks ago, and proceeded to drop to $360 on its own positive earnings today. If the shares weren’t $160 six months ago it would be frustrating.

I work in healthcare, and Humana medicare advantage plans are an absolute nightmare to deal with. Truly horrible. No one cares about my opinion obv but I would never buy their stock. UNH in the same boat.

This guy knows whats up. 20+ years in Healthcare Administration on the facility side, the last 5 years consulting across the country in the Revenue Cycle space. UNH and HUMANA are the worst of the worst to deal with in the MA space.
