It's called priorities. You make it happen because you have to. You give up spending on yourself, and it doesn't bother you.

Sounds like you are on the right track with the debt thing.

before I got married I had a closet full of Dc martins, nikes, polo, tommy, etc....I spent a shite load on my clothes and cologne.


Now all my money goes to my kids and family.

I have one pair of dc martins (steel toe company purchased), and a few nice buttom up shirts and khakis. Most of my closet consist of cintas supplied work shirts and pants.


Like earlier poster stated you set your priorities. about the only thing I have spurged on for me is a boat, atv, and a z-turn mower.

very carefully, wait until you are throwing 20k a year up for private schools
