A high school friend of mine used to manage a "upscale" joint. We were talking about how much the girls made, and how much did he think they claimed.

He said that a few years back the IRS did some sort of study on the "industry" and came up with a program similar to what waiters get hit with. He said they get a 1099 based upon some percentages. Now, he did assure me that most still made a shitload more than they claimed, but unless they were stupid and deposited all those "dollar bills" into a bank, it would be almost impossible for the IRS to figure out.
