What are your bets for the next few days and weeks?
I'm nowhere near a 10k/share expectation, but you must admit that you didn't think it was possible at all that this stock would get this high. You thought it would be back to pre-pandemic by now.

quote:I really don't like stop-loss orders, but I understand why people place them. Market Makers can see those stop-loss orders. It has been proven, by the SEC, time and time again, that the market can/is manipulated. One way is, the MMs see the stop-loss orders drive the price down with short ladder attacks, then pick up those shares for cheap. Stop the ladder attacks and let it run. It came out during the congressional hearings that they had been fined multiple times, for pushing their own orders thru over retail. Fined tons of money, to me and you, but to them, it's just a drop in the bucket. Not to mention the vast amounts they make doing it in the first place. I have the ability to watch it. I also set up multiple alerts to notify me when the price moves one way or the other. So my style may not work for a lot of people.
You seem to have the best grasp on this so I’ll direct my question to you. What would you set a stop loss point at? Do you think they’ll be any more down swings or is it straight up from here? All I have is a small handful here and I don’t have the opportunity to watch it all day long. Should we expect a sell off at opening again and then another rise throughout the day?
This is a very unique situation with AMC. When the squeeze starts, there will be wild swings. Set the SL to high, and you'll get stopped out, then miss when the bounce happens.
At the end of the day, I guess all you can do is decide what is best for you and your risk tolerance. As for me, I like the stock, and I can easily see it going up multiple hundreds.

I totally agree. I never saw it going this high, obviously.

I recently bought Freeport McMoran, grabbed some ether on the dip because it sounds like there may be a changing of the crypto guard on the horizon, and bought another Navient call. But largely been accumulating cash because I was waiting on a broader market pullback.
To add, I've got a number of other stocks at or nearing their price targets (AA, AAL, SLB, CCL, NCLH) that I may take profits on soon. For the cruise stocks waiting on a confirmed sail date for the industry and will sell that news.

So, in the spirit of cash accumulation, you wish you had some AMC right now.
I like Ether, fwiw.

From your favorite website
The myth of the short ladder attack
Also, you're misrepresenting what market makers do.

So I just watched Lou latest video... he talking about how the govt will intervene at some point. Also confirming that ceo is not truly an ape.
What can the govt do if it gets to 2k or whatever the number is? They say it’s over, go home at this price?
That would piss me off bailing out citadel. They created this. Now deal with going belly up mf.

I’m sure you’re talking about me and that hurts.

I think most/all of the reasons greygoose has been giving to buy this stock are complete BS, but I obviously didn’t see it coming that so many would buy into them - pun intended. The self-fulfilling prophecy aspect of these things for the original/early investors is pretty incredible if they can get it going, and they have. Congrats to them, and GL to all.

Hold till 500 and then maybe ur like shite it’s going passed 500. Then 800 approaches, then 1k. Sell on the way down. Not on the way up
Lots of FUD tonight. Most I’ve seen on stocktwits. That’s telling me they scared and have paid posters. This is war. Do y’all not realize this? We are against the biggest villain ever. Eat ur crayons and hold. They have yet to be called. They racking up a astronomical bill. Squeeze hasn’t even started yet. It’s going to get bigger than today. Was it fun, hell yes! This going much higher.
Sell on the way down not up. Don’t set stop losses either. They have access to all this

And to top it off, you are so strong with your convictions, you drop a whopping $75 on it, and promptly lose it all. Not one of your posts has done a damn thing but cause doubt. Congrats, I guess that was your goal. You've been hot on this entire thread since day one, and now with people seeing massive gains, that have been predicted would come eventually, you are still here, slinging shite as always. What a sad, sad, life you must have.

I believe you genuinely think this, but I don’t believe you’re in the majority. Don’t hold out for the good of others, because it’s highly unlikely they’ll do the same for you.

No doubt. Shorts are desperate. Billions are at stake for them. Whatever they can do to create doubt, they will.

That’s not true at all. I’ve debated the logic people have used, but I’ve been respectful about it.

I never went short. Never made sense.

This is quite the melt for someone who is making a ton of money. It doesn’t matter one iota if you’re making money for logical or illogical reasons. Who gives a shite? You’re winning, enjoy it.

Why did AMC go up 95% today? Are the Reddit bonobos storming the castle?

Anticipation of a short squeeze pushed it up last week, and it’s been pure FOMO from there.

Apologies. I had you confused with another for a second. Y'all tend to run together sometimes.

CEO sold 8.5 Million shares to advance long term revenue which is desperately needed. It makes sense in my book that he is a smart businessman.
Now on the front of government intervention... I would not say this would be a bad thing for everyone who is not an APE retail wise. We do have an aging senior demographics that are heavily dependent on their 401k's and social security in hopes of retiring. I would say some interference would help these people. I do think 2000 a share will bankrupt citadel, and kick on the insurance policies to protect people like you and I. The only issue is see with stopping at $2000 for the floor is the overleverage by the institutional investors such as these BIG Money bastards crashing the rest of the markets on top of its already overvaluation... Which I would expect to see interference at this point. And I say overleveraged because look at today's big gainers, and look back to January 27th... A group affecting this many shorted stocks is surely to be expected to cause a sell-off whenever they have to liquidate calls and holdings.

Before you jump to conclusions, I am hodling myself until the way down starts as I am hoping to predict with the MACD indicator and the breaking of the vertical trendline we are riding currently. .

All u have to do his hold. That’s it. Let’s be apart of a movement that changes the landscape going forward. Hold for generational wealth. Don’t believe anyone saying this can’t get higher than gme. It will blast way above gme. Is it a gamble? Sure. Favor is in ur odds though. Takes a community to do it and this community is bigly.
This has never happened before. U want to pay off debt, House, have a nest egg u never thought u would, hold mf! That’s all u have to do. Watch what happens. Don’t be like the poster that regrets missing out. Gamble on this lifetime play. We haven’t even flip the switch to turn the rockets on. Hard to believe I know
