What was your experience like? Yield?

It seems like a great platform for people from all walks of life - no real minimum on how much you can P2P lend.

You are aware the big Wall Street banks are also making loans on sites like Prosper now? You're competing against the big boys, which definitely hurts your risk/reward ratio.

I played around with Lending Club for a couple of years (same concept)...

Not impressed at all with the performance and no longer actively contributing. Probably earned under 2% overall and had I not sold some notes on the secondary market (Folio), I'd probably been in the RED!

Ive used it off and on since 2007 but recently stopped investing after getting inaccurate information on my rate of return. I mainly messed around with it because I liked the idea behind it.

Somewhat off topic (nothing to do with Prosper), but I thought some may be interested in what's happened to Lending Club recently. I almost got involved in doing some lending there and thought about buying the stock awhile back. Thankfully I did neither.

Guys at my work are doing it and they seem happy overall. They all started early overall and they are only doing smaller loans.

I did before they revamped. Bad experience.
