Has anybody had any experience with a self directed Ira?

No, but my 457 allows for half of all holdings to be self directed and I'm up 24% on the year for that portion vs 8% on the fund limited 457 investments.

I'm trying to set up a self directed IRA with Pensco right now, will let you know how it goes. It'll probably mimic a strategy I read in "Unleash your IRA", holding assets my small business uses and will lease from a sibling.

This is not a self directed IRA.

I just wanted to see if anybody has had any good or bad experience with them. I'm opening up a business that will offer those. That is good to know. Thank you
