Sons 1st vehicle
Honor roll/grade discount

2010 truck 160000 miles

Paid 9000

Agent said with his and 3 other cars would be 320 full coverage. Did not think to ask cost of liability on his.

TIA!!!

Assuming per mo, that's pretty good rate for 4 cars.

I pay $50mo for liability on my camp truck.

No collision coverage means you eat the $9,000 if he (or an uninsured idiot) totals it, which there is an excellent chance he will in the next year or two. If you can handle that, gamble on.

You don’t have enough info in your post about the various rates to make a better assessment.

You need plenty of liability coverage if you have decent assets (home, stocks, etc.) or income stream you should protect from a judgment against you based on stupid driving of your kid. 25/50/25 liability coverage won’t save your house when a crash victim is disabled,

Full coverage

Make sure you understand what full coverage means. I have clients all the time that think they bought "full coverage" and all they have is the minimum required by law.

There is no definition for "Full coverage" in LA. do your homework.

If in Louisiana, I doubt full coverage is much more than liability only.

The important thing to consider is that there is not much difference in cost between 50K and 300K liability coverage, I would first protect my assets then consider collision coverage on the truck.
