This sounds like a Baton Rouge story. So many Exxon folks and so much money. There are so many BR millionaires with barely a high school education here that I bet there is no other place like it. Oil and gas and it ain’t over yet. Lithium’s best use may be for bipolar disorder…….Elon may prove me wrong but give me my diesel Suburban any day.

A little each year for the next couple years to minimize taxes

I inherited some from a great aunt in 1993. Her husband was a lawyer for Esso turned Exxon and he got huge chunks of dividends. They never had kids and were multi millionaires when they died.

We’ve sold some to keep our portfolio balanced and I’ve used the dividends for same as the guy above .. travel/nice things that my aunt and uncle would have approved of.
