True, many fakes. I was sort of interested, but for this reason, I gave up. Not interested enough to spend too much time researching it.

I bought my first Omega a year ago and I love it. I get compliments often. It’s a watch that looks of high quality but is subtle about it. Rubber strap. It’s a great everyday watch.
I have a few Rolex watches. I love those, but Omega has earned my respect.
I recommend to the OP for his first watch. Less expensive than a Rolex with great quality and a well known solid history.
