Did anybody file an Amended tax Return this year?

I amended my 2018 return a while back and it still hasn't showed up on the system. I was just wondering if Covid has slowed them down that much or do I need to make sure they got it.

Yes, I amended my 2018 return over the summer and it was processed a month or two ago.

I filed an amended return in January and they processed it in October or November. They were not processing paper forms for most of COVID, all amended returns have to be submitted on paper forms.

How long ago is "a while back"?
Under the best of circumstances, an amended paper return can take 3-6 months to process. With COVID, the backlog is so insane, I'd give it up to a year.

Thankfully, we can now do 1040X e-file. Started this summer, but only for 2019 returns. We will be able to do later years e-file, but won't be able to ever e-file 2018 or earlier.
