My wife's (no pics) capital one debit card number has been used fraudulently 3 different times this year. The most recent time was yesterday morning. Then today, I notice fraudulent charges on my capital one credit card. Both stored in Amazon and our online banking. Other than that, no common use I can think of. Any ideas of how this could keep happening?

We're not loaning our cards out or anything like that. Seems like more than a coincidence this most recent time.

Sounds like she needs security awareness training and possibly there is a skimmer nearby at a gas station or something.

The best advice I can give is do NOT use debit cards. You're giving a thief access to your bank account.

Always use a credit card which gives you much more protection against theft.

I never use my debit card. I don't even have it in my wallet. It's been compromised so many times I've lost count. It's usually someone in the UK who steals it too. It's unavoidable.

I rarely even take out a physical credit card anymore. I like some of my new ones don't even have a number printed on the cards, it is just in the app. I use my phone to pay 95% of the time anyway, I don't think they are skimming phones yet.

Would normal antivirus software catch something like this?

Using insecure networks (phone or laptop)?
Key-logger?
Don't have RFID wallet?
Use at a consistent place (restaurant, gas station, restaurant) where someone swipes the info
Untrustworthy relative is swiping info from wallet or purse
