Wow! There's no way a small btc exchange site can withstand the price declines of btc if they are providing margin financing for any significant volume of their sales.

Yeah, I don't know how or why they do it, but they're the only exchange that I know of that offers it.

Down to $401 on BitStamp. This is the fastest I've ever seen it drop in 3 hours.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Chinese didn't sell everything off, just to buy back in at sub $200. Happens pretty frequently on the weekends. I've went to bed with it at $1000 and woke up with it at $800, just for it to go back up to a $1000 again in a couple of hours.

If this is true, then Bitcoin is in trouble.

There are some weird orders being placed on bitstamp. Some big buy orders came in followed almost immediately by some almost identical amount of sell orders. If I didn't know better, I'd say someone is trying to manipulate the price to stem the bleeding.

Coinbase's buy limit keeps getting met which is a small ray of light through the otherwise gray skies.

Coinbase holds about 97% of customer's funds in cold storage. If activity unexpectedly picks up it takes time to move the bitcoin out of cold storage.

Just how much you can buy per day. I don't know why it's needed.
