First time around, we did UR transfer. Then Wife and I was lucky to be targeted for 45k personal and 50k business Skypass Visa each. That was an easy 200k pts after min spend.

I get targeted for these all the time and just haven't gone for it yet. US Bank being a hassle being one reason.

FYI, if y'all are looking to get targeted, I think your best bet is to sign up for a Korean Skypass account. After that you should receive their mailers.

It's a no brainer imo if you want to go Hawaii. Also saves all your UR points.

Never thought I'd say this but we're actually getting tired of hawaii (will be 3x within 12 months). Next booking will be US virgin island b/c that can also be booked 25k rt.

Did you sign up/inidicate you were a business owner?

Looking to make it out to Hawaii for Auburn BBall in the Maui Invitational next year. Having that 50k + 45k makes the RT business possible (45k per?) right?

Was already a targeted business app so pretty easy to get approved for business. I do own legit business but just like any other card, you can be sole proprietor.

I have heard that US bank could be a pain but I've had no issues. MS on all the cards too.

25k economy or 45k rt in first.

Ya, that's the thing, no Hawaii or Europe plans to need to execute the application yet. Looked intro transferring for Africa but again, no availability.

So its just kinda hanging on the back burner.

The only places we go twice to is wherever my wife's family chooses to vacation together at, which has been Seaside lately. They're from Virginia. I have too many places to go and little time right now to double up on anything. Wish I could.

I think today is last day for the Southwest 60k. I just signed up for a plus card. I already have a premier card. I guess I need to cancel the premier and wait the requisite time and sign up for that one again for a new bonus offer as well.

Do southwest cards count towards the 5/24 rule?

Looking for a solid sign up bonus since I've already gone through half of my CSR bonus already.

ETA: Nvm...googled it. Damn it.

Every credit card (even Chase) counts towards the 5/24 rule.

Not every Chase card they offer will be denied if you are over the 5/24 rule. These cards are British Airways, Hyatt, IHG, and Ritz.

A few others as well, including Disney, Amazon, Marriott biz.

So I've had a Chase Southwest Premier for about 3 years. I just signed up for the Plus. Once I get the Plus in, I plan to cancel the Premier (it's annual fee anniversary is due to happen on August 1).

Would I then be able to apply for the Southwest Premier card again next time they offering a 50k or 60k bonus since that previous bonus was over 3 years ago? or will the bonus from the Plus card be counted against me?

Someone can correct me, but it is Plus and Premier specific. Earning the bonus on one won't extend the clock on the other.

You must APPLY 24 months after the date you RECEIVED the sign up bonus. Applying before this date and meeting the spend requirement after the date will result in not being eligible.

At 3 years you should be more than fine.

Trying to figure out the 5/25 rule. If I get the BofA Alaska business card does this count into the 5/24 ? I think I read it that Chase won't even know about this business card because its thru BofA? But Chase ink preferred business card does because it's thru Chase? Thanks

The thing with business cards is they generally will be on a separate credit report from your personal, and therefore that's why they don't count, because when you apply as yourself, they can't see them.

Now this probably doesn't work if you're applying as a sole proprietorship with your SSN. It has nothing to do with the issuer in most cases.

Just use Credit Karma or another service to check your credit report and see if the account shows up on your report.

This actually would not matter as long as the particular business card does not report to personal credit service. Example: Amex business cards does not show up on personal credit. SSN or EIN and does not count toward 5/24.

Capital One and Discover business cc reports to personal

Ya, I was unsure about the Sole Proprietorship (SSN) because I was pretty sure either my Ink Bold or Ink Plus did show, but since its been over two years I couldn't confirm it. Thanks for clarifying that for him.

I'm probably about to LLC and throw my taxable investments under it so I can report some "revenue" for more cards in the future. Don't think they'd be down to give me any more at the "revenues" I'm reporting.

What are everyone's thought on Amex Delta cards. Is the Platinum really better than the Gold?
