Fair enough.
Apply for it. Once approved, call in and say you would like to have it expedited. If not approved, let me know what message you get and I can help you handle it from there. Good luck.

The INK is basically a better version of the CSP right? Thinking of picking that up here soon but not positive
Also, any hotel card worth looking into?

Depends on your usage. Are you trying to manufacture chase points? Do you spend a lot of office supply stores? Basically Ink is a powerful point manufacturer if you're into that. If not then Ink if you spend a lot on office supplies, gas and csp for dining and travel. If you already have one, no reason not to get the other.

Didn't realize you had to spend 5k to get 60k. That's a bit steeper than the arrival at 3k.

They sell a number of gift cards, including gas, like you already know. See if you are able to prepay for some expenses. If not, then I wouldn't go for it

If I cancel the Ameriprise Amex Plat, how long do I need to wait (if at all) before opening a regular Amex Plat? Got a 100k/$3k invite.

I dont think the two are related in any way. You can have both at the same time. If they were, then due to Amex's once in a lifetime rule, you couldn't get the bonus again anyway.

Between hotels, gas and fun on the move I think we will drop about 2k. Covering the other 3k will be easy over the next 2.5 months. Think I'm gonna roll with it.

At least 65K UR points. Lovely.

Staples sells gift cards don't they? Also, don't forget that cell phones + cable service all get the 5x points as well.

They do. All kinds of merchants. Plus vgcs. That is why I talked a bit about the "manufacturing points" :)

Well they just told me that the won't waive the AF unless the account was set up before the active duty orders began. I don't think that's what they are supposed to be doing but whatever. No sure which is more worth it now then.
Posted on 5/31/16 at 5:21 pm to AmeriKop45
Never mind. Their current offer is for 70k points and the first year AF is waived. Rolling with it.

Wasn't approved automatically. Said it could take 10 days

Called in to provide info and answer questions to help the process. After that they declined me due to the fact that I don't actually have a business yet that has revenue. How were you able to get around it?
Posted on 5/31/16 at 7:45 pm to Drew Orleans
Did you tell them you don't have a business? Calling in has been a risky move lately with Chase.
Posted on 5/31/16 at 7:58 pm to txtiger79
Told them I was starting it up soon. They wanted to know the licensing number and how much I make. Basically had to tell them.

For sure, I just got this card and am earning 5x on so many things. I will easily get a ticket to Europe each year on those categories alone.

Do you have IHG or Hyatt? I think those 2 are great since you get a free night a year. Marriott has that as well if you stay there a lot? I have the IHG and am thinking of adding the Hyatt soon enough.

How long does it take for IHG points to show up under IHG rewards? Chase is showing they deposited 80k, but its not showing under my ihg

Mine showed up pretty quickly. I think it depends on your billing cycle so they probably did deposit them to IHG but they'll show up on your new cycle.
