Well, after Online chat with Citi confirming they received my W9, they did another "investigation" and now supposedly my points are on the way according to the emailed letter.
We shall see.

Does this "Citi" even really exist?

I do feel like I'm talking to a Nigerian prince some times.

From the other thread, if I am thinking right, you may have some Chase points?
No, currently don't have any points.

Hmm. I'm not sure how willing or unwilling you are to go that route.
Flights are extremely affordable right now. Ireland would be cheaper. And like I said, for Ireland you would really only need 1 sign up for 2 RTs from Boston, so CSP may be something you might want to look into. If you need help on this topic further, I can assist you with that.
Keep an eye out for deals on The Flight Deal and Secret Flying (I've linked these on the other thread as well)
If not - since I have been to neither Ireland or Australia, the travel thread might be more useful since Im sure many have

What are the fees on the Ireland flight? Still trying to figure out my game plan for flights to Scotland. I need 2 tickets (starting to think just coach). I have 88,000 Amex, 50,000 citi, 50,000 southwest, and 30,000 chase. I'm trying to lay low on the sign ups for the time be (my wife and I each with 8 to 9 in the last year). Any advice on flying either coach or business with no further sign up? End result would ideally be Scotland, but wouldn't mind stopping in Ireland for 2 days or so.

If you can book soon flights to Shannon are really cheap on AA. And UA is matching fares from PHL. Check it out: LINK
If you have the Citi Prestige, you can book AA flights through thankyou.com @ 1.6c/point for AA flights, and 1.3c/point for UA. $609 comes to about 38K citi points. Maybe, pay cash for the other one?
Honestly, really doesn't make sense to pay with points right now for economy at these prices. Get a flight to PHL on SW and then cheap flight to Ireland.
One option is to transfer 25,000 AmEx to BA, 30K Chase to BA, to fly BOS-DUB/SNN. But you are still paying over $100 on taxes per ticket. Not very good cpp.

Aer Lingus fees are cheap. No fuel surcharges.

Unfortunately I can't book for another few months. We are wanting to go until the end of May next year. (wife's work doesn't allow for overly flexible time off).

Trick: E-mail yourself a referral as well. Then copy the application link and save it. Next time you want to refer someone, instead of having to go through Chase and waiting 1-3 weeks for them to send the e-mail, just send over that link.
I just checked my Chase referral links and the UA is only 30,000 miles. That's weak. I can do 60,000 UR through the Ink referral though if anyone needs it.

Apparently the new Chase Freedom Unlimited card is immune to the 5/24 rule.

This AMEX Blue Cash card seems to be a great deal for buying a new iPad through Verizon. 10% cash back on the iPad itself then 10% off the bill. Also should be very easy to reach $1000 spent in the first 3 months for the $250 credit. Seems too good to be true. Am i missing something here? Any serious disadvantage to opening and closing credit cards to jump on deals like this?

There is no point to closing that card. It has no annual fee.

I suspect it's because they haven't went "live" with it yet. It's probably a temporary thing until systems are updated.
