I tried looking for one. The couple I found keep directing me to the 30K offer. Any chance you could send me the one you used or post it here?

Have you tried booking a "dummy" flight through united? It may work like a hotel and you get the increased offer around the confirmation page of flight reservation.

The wiki for the card on the Chase subforum has the link. It requires you to log into Mileage Plus.
I also had the offer show up independently while logging into mileage plus

No luck so far. But thanks! I'll try a couple other things until the end of this month.

Got a denial from Chase for the Hyatt.
"Too many requests for credit or opened accounts"
I opened two Chase Southwest cards last month and six total cards in the past few months. Is there a chance of getting this pushed through? or just wait this one out?

What's there to wait out? If you got a pending review message then maybe you wait it out, but if you got a denial then the only possibility is to call.
However, it sounds like your issue is the two SW cards being within 30 days of the Hyatt app. You can wait to put some distance between the SW apps and the Hyatt app but I think Chase is going to the 5/24 rule for co-branded cards in April.

I meant "let some time pass" and reapply in a few months, not wait on their decision.

No then...you have too many new cards total for a chase co-branded card in a few months. Generally, you can't have 5 or more new cards in the last 24 months. If you really want the Hyatt then your best bet is to give 30 plus days from SW approvals and before the April date for new cobranded chase rules.

Isn't that still just speculation regarding the cobranded cards??

I guess it is till it happens but that still seems to be the consensus.

So I finally got something from Chase today on my SP app. The fraud department wants me to contact them to verify info. I had a Citi app get opened in my name last summer/fall from a different address that was never approved and I had to get that off of my credit report. I think this is generally good news?

I think so. 99.9% you're in the clear as long as you get in touch with the fraud department.
If that Citi app was you, just tell them why it was from a different address. I don't see a need to get it off your report or anything, unless it wasn't you.
Remember: Apps remain open for 30 days typically. So you want to move on that sooner rather than later.

Speculation that has been correct the past 2 times for Chase branded cards and business cards

But wouldn't this be a partner by partner basis? What if some of their partners don't like the 5/24 rule?
That rule limits all people, not just churners.

Chase buys the points up front from partners. So it's Chase's prerogative what they wanna do with them. Partner doesn't really have much of a say in that except who they partner with.
Since they're Chase's property and Chase is the one extending the CL, Chase gets what Chase wants. The partner benefits from added loyally that a card holder is likely to have, the bank benefits from a new customer's
If the partner thinks relationship with Chase IS not yielding effective results, they can always switch to another bank
Also, I've yet to meet a non churner or a fiscally responsible individual with 5 or more ccs. Imo, this mainly affects churners

That is what I was thinking, I will call later when I have some free time at work.

It wasn't me which is why I had to report it as fraud.

Good to know, Thanks.

Pretty exciting news regarding the SPG merger and the Chinese company offer. I strongly doubt Marriott counters with a better offer. I believe the contract has a $400MM backout clause if I remember correctly. If I was Marriott, I'd take that money and skip all the way to the bank.
I think the consumers will definitely benefit from continuing to have a separate SPG brand.

Oh and my Citi Gold issue with them trying to back out of giving me my points has been escalated to a "senior manager". I figure the least I can do is email them repetitively until they are just tired of hearing from me and just give me the points.
