What's the best way to find a CPA for personal finances besides google/yelp(kind of kidding)?
My wife and I are close to the border between two tax brackets and she might be exercising an option to buy/sell a significant amount of her companies stock and we want to make sure we handle this right and might have additional questions about a variety of things(LLC for rental properties).

Who does her company use? They will likely be familiar with the company and the implications.
Other than that, ask around. Best referral will be friends/business associates who are happy with their CPA.
