I take it as an opportunity to rock the grizzly man beard post-college just once a year. 4 days in and its the equivalent of about 3 weeks in college time. About to finish my accounting speed review and eat and R&Os poboy for dinner. I should do some practice shite tonight, but that calorie bomb + basketball + I'm fricking tired is looking like the end of the road for me today. 8 hrs = weak sauce.

I do believe I'll clear the gmail account to keep abreast of the ongoings in the financial world and then possibly do a run through the secret sauce. Its only 200 pages, that's pie right now.

Damn, L3 is 323 pages.

323 pages, plus the mock exam should get me to the promised land, right?

All I know is:

If the test looks like a Schweser practice, I'm golden.

If not, well we shall see.

You got it brah. Tomorrow I'm running through Ethics, Accounting, and Equity questions till noon (lunch at Domenica ); then coming back and running through questions for everything else for the rest of the day. First practice test on Friday. So many emotions...

Thank god my firm is all about the CFA. I got two designated study days this week and I've been going over practice problems between meetings and stuff.

I guess its also part of the reason its a huge deal to fail. That shite does not fly.

You taking a full 2-part 6 hr. or one 3-hr?

I'm trying to decide when I should take the one free full exam I get from CFA. Think I may go ahead and fire that bullet today.

They give us 2 free days off as well, but my job definitely is not on the line if I don't pass.

I wouldn't say mine is either. But when your end of the year review and comp meetings come you will definitely hear "Yea...so we were a little disappointed that you didn't pass your CFA exam this year......right......".

I would expect the same comment on L1 because you really shouldn't have that much trouble passing it unless you're just being really lazy, L2/3 I would not expect much of a comment though. I'm not sure if it would impact my bonus, but I doubt it would be material relative to work product.

L2 Secret Sauce is pretty shitty. Its like reading a report where you can tell one person wrote one section and another person wrote another section and no one bothered to review it or make it consistent.
