They can technically cancel a policy at any time however there are generally minimum earned premiums and short rate penalties that can come into play for early cancellation so it is certainly not common

Started out at a mom and pop till I got my GC and then was picked up by a national.

The mom and pop specialized in LIHTC multi family projects and the national specialized in senior housing.

Getting your foot in the door at a wholesale brokerage. Working with different markets, learning the business, learning the lingo, learning the coverage forms.

About two years in, leave for a better position at a different brokerage. It's damn near impossible to not find a job once you're in the industry and don't have a bad name.
