Where do you go to buy? And how does the process work?

I currently hold GLD and SLV. I’m not a big fan of buying physical gold and silver. It’s very illiquid, and hard to dispose of.
A lot of people believe in holding the physical asset in case of some sort of economic collapse. However, I think if we get to that point, gold or silver will not be able to save you. You will need guns, ammunition, and canned goods.

APMEX
This is the website that I use. I've bought gold, silver, and platinum for my kids as gifts over the last couple of years and will probably continue to do so. It's fun for them and it's better than just buying toys that they will outgrow or break.
I've found the premiums to be inline with other online retailers but you may get better prices from a local pawn shop or dealer.

I keep IAU and SLV in my largest accounts. And buy physical metal at whatever place I can get the best deal.

The last time I looked at their website, they charged sales tax in LA. Maybe that’s changed but that’s why I went with APMEX
