You gotta tear out the existing bad asphalt and have it removed and disposed of. Then decide if what's under the asphalt will adequately support a driveway. If so, you're OK, if not, you'll have to pull out the bad stuff and replace it with good fill.
Additionally, a driveway that long and only ten feet wide is a bit narrow, even if it's straight. I'd go twelve feet, but it's 20 percent more concrete.
