If you are making more than 100K per year, it’s probably just not worth it to swing trade in your brokerage account given the short term cap gains hit. Roths and other tax advantaged accounts are a different matter, but I realized long ago that I can’t time the market and don’t want to obsess over every tick.

Do it! I just started swing trading this year and have done very well with it. Technical analysis (TA) is a big part of the equation. You can learn technical analysis by simply watching YouTube videos. It’s really not that hard to pick up. I learned the following (in order): candles, support/resistance, trend lines/channels, moving averages, and then my favorite, Fibonacci Retracement. Let me know if you have any questions.
