What are your experiences with a bail bondsman? I know everyone hopes they never have to deal with one, but if you have. What are your thoughts

They get you out of jail at a discount? What's the question? Just make sure you or whoever you bailed out makes the court date. Probably get more from the OT.

Don't use one if you don't have to do so. Some parishes have bonding offices; you pay your 10% to the parish govt.

If you are bailing someone out, make %1000 percent sure that your buddy is on the hook for the bond and not you. I ran into that one in college.

I bailed a person out, he was then shipped out to Iraq, missed his court date, bondsman is calling me 24/7.

Your question is rather vague. What, exactly, do you want to know?

I walked into the bail bonding office and was surprised to see a very attractive Latina behind the desk, with enormous knockers. She looked up as I walked in, and said "It looks like you've been very naughty today" and slowly licked her lips. She added "You're going to have to pay some extra commission to post this much bail" as she slowly unbuttoned her shirt. I knew exactly the kind of commission she was looking for.

Other than that I got nothing.

If it's a bail you can afford, and for someone that you can trust - pay in full. You'll never get the 10% back when the charges are cleared, but you'll get the 100% back (minus court fees) if you pay in full.

Generally 12% in Baton Rouge, but I agree.
