Wife (no pics) and I want to get a rewards card. We’ve used Expedia to book international travel in the past. They have a 50,000 point sign on bonus promotion going right now. Can anyone tell me about how much that would be worth in dollars?

Conversely, Delta AMEX has a 70,000 point sign on bonus (at the end of one year), so that’s pretty attractive right now.

Any other travel cards y’all recommend?

Thanks

I would advise you to press pause. Spend about two weeks binging YouTube videos and forums about rewards cards.

AskSebby,FlyerTalk,etc

Don’t just dive in. The rabbit hole goes DEEP. To maximize your return spent some time figuring things out.

You basically have two dominant eco systems.

Chase and Amex. They are the kings, have the most flexible and valuable currencies. You don’t want to make your work horse cards tied to a specific airline, or hotel.

You need to learn about Chase 5/24. Amex One Lifetime bonus, etc.

I would look into the SouthWest Companion Pass megathread on reddit.com/r/churning

I think that may be something you would be interested in. Assuming you live near a SouthWest hub.

I will look into it. We usually fly Delta or American. The nearest Southwest airport is over an hour away.

Ah ok...well they have a "What Card Wednesday" every Wednesday where people post their stats and get recs. I typically look through those and get some ideas.
