I think he's referring to a Federal Firearms License.

@300 per million is what I pay. I have pool, family that includes 19 & 23 y/o's listed, also added watercraft to coverage.

I got rid of my boat, but I drive other people's boats when fishing, and my 19 y/o could be driving one as well. better safe than sorry.

I want to add

compare apples to apples, not all umbrella insurance has the same coverages.
While my umbrella was around 300 bucks, raising limits up on boat and utv and the increased liablity that will need to be carried on my soon to be drivers will make the real cost significantly higher. But too many horror stories of people getting umbrellas, welcoming suits to get the umbrella amount and having gaps incoverage.

I may be off base here, but an umbrella is like raw meat to a plantiff attorney. I would be damn sure you are as protected as you think State Farm has minimum liability requirements.

I was paying @ 1k less a year for homeowners insurance, but @ 550k underinsured on home
We were paying appraised value, but higher building costs would have made it hard to replace the home we have at that value. Went thru the drill and came up with needing about 250k more coverage. And if you insure up to 100% of that value, you get an additional percentage above the value...like 10 or 20 percent.

Made my coverage go way up. But I do feel more comfortable.

Georgia umbrella rates are skyrocketing.

Too many max payouts on liability claims (as was said, meat to the billboard attorneys).

Carriers are taking rate. Those that aren't are increasing underlying limits and looking to get off risk.
