Wrong.

It does not include any snacks, no breakfast, etc.

The $30 is straight up lunch money.

And it's not opt-outable without a WIC card.

Well then what does it provide? Put some context about what were talking about instead of just whining. Is it ordered food? Are they paying someone to cook it or pick it up? Is it perishable where spoilage is factored in?

It's pretty clear you are being emotional about it so I'm sure we aren't going to get the truth.

The take your fricking kid to a daycare that costs $800 a month more where you can send their lunch or stop bitching about it.

Talk about making a mountain out of a mole hill. There's probably 30 sets of parents on a wait list to get their kid into something like this and you are bitching about $30 a week to feed your kid.

I’d pay $30/week on top of all the other crap we’re already paying to not have to fix a lunch for them every day

Ok thanks, you have made your point. I have read your points. You can go away now so I can hear other points.

Hold your breath until $6 lunch for a four year old makes sense.

Well, I just said I’d pay $6 a day to avoid having to pack for mine. So, to others, it makes sense.

Juice Box - 30 cents
Cheese Stick - 20 cents
Apple - 50 cents
Handful of pepperoni - 25 cents
Gogurt - 50 cents
Handful of some snack - 25 cents

That’s $2.00

2 minutes and no overhead. Toss in some of those stupid box tops we have to collect and we come out ahead.

Is this a public school?

Does public school pre-k qualify for federal subsidies for lunch?

Does this pre-k eat school at the same cafeteria as an elementary school?

Now I know.

$30 is the max allowed by the state for state sponsored preK.

I’m kinda embarrassed to admit this, but I’ve grown to appreciate higher tuition rates because it separates my children from kids of other parents who complain about silly expenses like paying for lunch.
