Eventually I think they try this with some linguistic gymnastics attempting to claim wealth as income because Congress will absolutely refuse to sacrifice their political careers in order to cut spending. I also think it will get shut the frick down if it even makes it to the appellate level.

This has also led me to the belief we may see a growing adoption in DC of the MMT mindset (which will, of course, be disastrous).

No one goes to DC to serve just one term.

I’m guessing they’d be setting a floor to where you can’t use deductions or interest rate tricks to bring your effective tax rate below 25%
