I learned my lesson when I was 12. Had a poker night at a friends house. Lost everything within 15 minutes and taken advantage of by seasoned players. Had to spend the next few hours watching the other kids play which made me regret doing it in the first place.

Congratulations on getting out. I’ve never gone into debt but I know the compulsion struggles. That’s a good rate and you’re making progress quickly.

I’m games of chance it’s literally the exact opposite. The more you play the more the odds work against you.

NEVER EVER expect to make money playing casino table games long term. you will always lose LONG TERM. you have zero control of those unlike sports betting.

if you are really really good the only thing you can make money at is SPORTS GAMBLING long term. i do it.

casino games will always catch you over time. if you win short term cash out and GTFO with the winnings. never play long term.

You don't have any control over the outcome of any sporting event either.

Good poker players can be profitable since they are playing other players and not the house

you have way more control in sports gambling. that is how i keep winning. you have way more control of sports using advanced metrics than you do spinning a roulette wheel or playing blackjack. team and player matchups. streaks. stat metrics. road and home records. injuries. live wagers as a hedge. you have none of that playing casino games but luck and chance.

The major difference between the two is that you need to get lucky to win at a casino game. In sports, you can up your knowledge of a particular sport, make some informed choices, and place enough bets to beat the vig and get a realistic shot at the money.
