In a nutshell.

All these people saying JJ should have called for the snap must have just started watching football this past Saturday.

I'm truly glad none of these idiots was playing QB that day. They would have gotten LSU an illegal procedure penalty with their so called "quick thinking".

How hard is it to understand you can't run a play with people running on and off the field?

The entire offense was confused--that's the byproduct of absolutely zero coaching and preparedness.

The Crowton and Miles philosophy on the two minute drill: PANIC!!!

He could of made a statement by taking control of the offense. Honestly i don't know why he even looked to the sideline. He should of got straight up and hustled everyone to the line. I have a hard time believing that a coach would send players on the field if i was lining up and about to snap the ball. As soon as he got up he was lost. He looked like he did not even know where he was at, which could very well have made the coaches pannic. After that play everyone could've hustled to the line in about 5 seconds.

Sorry. i just tend to believe that a coach would not send players on the field if you were about to snap the ball.

JJ is clueless and not a leader.

If you have ever played football or was a qb you would know instead of looking like a deer in the headlights freaking retard after your tackled the qb should take control and call a play or get everyone lined up and spike the ball!! JJ cant think fast enough for this he is not and will never be a a good much les average qb!!!! The only blame i put in miles is putting that slow thinking moron back in the game!!! For all of you talking about drew bress do you think if he was tackled he would have turned around and look to the side lines with time running out? Hell no and thats why jj needs to be benched along with his non existing passing game!!! all of you just want to bash miles but if jj doenst go in retard mode we wouldnt even be talking about this!!!!

Jefferson was having a horrible throwing game; however, Jefferson finished second in the nation in red-zone passing efficiency last year

Good. Put him in last year. This year he has 1 red zone TD and it was in the first quarter of the first game. Since then 5 games of failure... which I think trumps 2009 in October 2010 decision making.

Really??? You have a hard time believing that OUR coaches would send players on the field if the QB was lining up about to snap the ball?

Would you have a hard time believing that our coaches would call a timeout after a change of possession...have a delay called on 4th and 9...almost get another delay penalty on the next play and use the last timeout?

You need to start believing more.

Miles: OK, he didn't get in. Now what?

Crowton: He should get them up quickly and run the 2nd play

Miles: Well, he's just standing there looking at me

Crowton: Signal in the play

Miles: We have been, he keeps walking this way

Crowton: Dammit. Get the pass squad in and run the fade to TT

Miles: There they go. They're all lined up, but he's just standing there

Crowton: Why doesn't he just run the play we sent in?

Miles: Hell if I know

Crowton: Call for the ball! Call for the ball! There's only 3 seconds left! Ya gotta go! Ya gotta go! Oh dear Lord!

Miles: He wasn't even looking for the ball. What in the hell kind of play is that? I call bullshite on that right there. Gary? Gary? Is this thing working? Crowton, can you hear me?

Let's just say for the sake of argument that I agree with you. JJ is completely useless, clueless and not fit to wear the uniform.

Are we in agreement?

Okay then.

Question: Who pulled Lee out of the game and put JJ in on second down???

Answer: THE COACHES!!!

No matter how you look at it, all signs point to two people being completely to blame: Les Miles and Gary Crowton.

I rest my case.

The other 119 D-1 teams are limited. Yet they get it right.

Next excuse?

To you and the other assholes saying JJ should have done something other than fall on the ball:

Look at the screenshot below just 1/2 a second after JJ recovered the ball. There are at least SEVEN of Tennessee's 13 defenders in our backfield, including two that are right on top of JJ -- one of whom nearly recovered the ball before JJ did. Even if JJ somehow gets the ball and manages to run around he's still got SEVEN defenders in the backfield and he's 20 yards from the end zone. Did I mention Tennessee had 13 defenders?

Jefferson: Whoa, why are they sending players into the game? We don't have enough time for substitutions.

Miles: Hey Gary, which play is this we're running?

Crowton: This is the play we worked on 2 months ago--you remember don't you?

Miles: Yeah but should we call timeout here or what? I mean, do we have enough time.

Crowton: We're out of timeouts. Jarrett already used the last one--at least I think he did. Anyway, I like this play we're about to run.

Jefferson: Uh oh--the coaches look lost on the sidelines again. Come to think of it, why did they even send me out here if they weren't going to have at least two plays called? I can't believe time is actually going to run out on us..how can this keep happening? Why do they keep doing this to us?

Miles: Hold on Jordan--we're coming...just hang in there. Gary? Gary? Is this thing working? Crowton, can you hear me?

See how that works?

or...

JJ's call to 911 while on the field:

911: 911, what's your emergency?

JJ: Uh...hi, I got a situation here where I just got put into the game and the time is running out. I'd like to run another play but my coaches just sent about 14 receivers onto the field and I don't see a play call anywhere. I just need some help here - I don't know what to do.

911: Okay, try and remain calm. How much time do you have left?

JJ: 9, 8, 7...

911: Motherf--ker! What's your location?

JJ: Tiger Stadium

911: Oh, LSU?! Oh wait, that's Les Miles and Gary Crowton, right? You're f--ked. Good Luck.

End of call

As a D-1 QB, it's common sense that should take over. Hey the clock is running, I need to stop it! Let spike it then set up a play with the right it's on the field.

Talk to any well-coached QB and they will tell you they never ask for a play during 2 minute drill. The problem is JJ is at the wheel for all three instances. He is just not able to comprehend the thought processes to make the proper reads, much less function as the coordinator of the 2 minute offense.

Irony.

The whole thing was a f'ck up from the beginning. It's JJ's job to make do with what he is given. There were late substitutions, everything in the final seconds can be blamed on him. Prior, can be blamed on the staff.

Wow--is that how you think Jordan Jefferson talks? Maybe if you ever run into him, you should use that vernacular in conversation with him.

I'm sure he'll be quite impressed with you...probably won't be offended at all.
