No ones offended by your post lol. We are all simply stating that we do not care about your opposition to what is being said and I even cited examples of how your generation was far less “classy” than the generation today

Well y’all sure have a strange way of showing you don’t care by some of the commmets. Taking the time and effort to respond is pretty much showing you care, you snowflakes! Am I doing this right?

To be honest, I love the song and the chant. Though it is referencing a sexual act on a tiger, it's certainly not chanted in an actual, literal, or even sexual, sort of way. It is a completely absurd request, which is what, IMO, makes it okay. No one is actually going to try to do that without getting their face ripped off (kinda the point of the chant, right?) Kind of like when someone says "bugger off!". Buggery is British slang for sodemy, so this sort of acceptable reference to a lewd act in the public domain is not unprecedented, or even, uncommon. Besides, if we're closing in on the end of the 4th against Alabama and in victory formation, the band better play Neck, and Nick Saban can STTDB.

Ok. So if someone said that specifically directed at your daughter you’d be ok with it and high five them? I mean, they aren’t literally meaning it huh? It’s all out of fun. It would be totally fine. Yeah, great point dude.....

As a previous post said STTDB is lame as hell, trashy as f%&k and makes the state's flagship university look inbred on a national stage... we should all just wear "No Fear" or "Big Johnson" T shirts, grow mullets and then the circle of trashy-ness will be complete. One of the problems with our great state is a lack of pride of ownership.

Supporting and taking the time to defend your view is pretty much caring about someone else’s view. Thanks again for the bump.

Ok. 1) It's not being said directly at any specific one person, 2) the ones it is being spoken to, certainly, aren't going to high five the ones saying the chant about it and 3) they aren't literally meaning it - it IS all out of fun and IS totally fine. Your points are shite.

Further, LSU has long used the chant "Tiger Bait!" to harass opposing teams. As in, you should be maimed and eaten by a tiger. It is quite violent. Do they literally mean that our opponents should be eaten by a tiger? Of course not. Nor does the playing of Neck and the accompanying chant portend the actuality of sucking off a tiger. Yes, it is lewd, but it is organic and it is ours.

You're seriously comparing the term "tiger bait" to the words that STTDB represent?

You're part of the problem and it's scary that, if you're a young adult now, that you'll be looked up to when you're older.

Apples and oranges.

I agree with the OP. I am bringing my grandson to a game this year. It is a much calmer game (Rice) so I don't think there will be as much of this as at the big SEC games, but, I am already trying to think of things I can chant to cover it up..
