This board is so sad. Seeing all the posts bashing Greedy for being “selfish” and a “bad teammate”.

Reevaluate your lives. You’re upset because an adult is making a decision that will ensure he and his daughter never have to worry about money again (if handled correctly, that’s a different issue ). You’re upset because it hurts your favorite teams chance to win a game that won’t make your life any better or worse based on the outcome.

Winning this game won’t make his life any better or worse either. Getting drafted in the top 10 will make his life better. “Bad teammate” - I imagine every single one of his teammates completely understands his decision and supports him.

Next time a kid underperforms and LSU “shows the door”, I hope you’re as much up in arms about the obligation LSU owes to these kids like you are when a good player sits out a game for LSU.

But you won’t be. Because you just care about the results LSU gets on the football field, and that’s why you’re upset with this decision.

My advice would be to work on yourself and your own life. Maybe next time you can be happy enough with yourself to be happy for a kid who balled out for three years here and is fulfilling a dream.

I’ll never feel sorry for a millionaire.

He made a decision. If people are upset with him, so be it. Who cares? Fans absolutely have the right to get upset with players.

He’s fine and will survive. If he is crying or upset at all about people being mad at him, then maybe he should have played, He made the decision, not the fans. There have been plenty of Top5 picks play in their bowl game before ... he chose not to, as is his right.

You're right. In fact they should all sit out and protect their futures. Let's stop college football - it risks the future careers of the NFL players.

No work needed here, as I live by a simple code - you start something, you finish it.

Chad Jones played in bowl and look what happened to him. Sh*t happens and could happen any day at any time in any manner. That is no excuse to quit on your coaches, teammates, fans, and university who have supported you.

If it’s going to happen I would much rather it happen after I get my check.

You started your current job. If someone offered you $15 million to quit tomorrow would you do it?

I’d finish up my two weeks at my current job.

These clowns value a 10 win season over a young man's future. I promise his team mates are telling him to go get paid. But these miserable fricks can't wrap their heads around that.

It is a very bad/embarrassing look for LSU.

Bunch of losers who don’t have much more going for their lives than college football. The guy is about to change his life for the better. I think he’s more than paid back his tuition and room and board.

Nice strawman, but try again. Must be a millenial.
