You're running around in circles in here.
Talking about their performance in 2 games on one hand, then declaring them top 10 in every defensive category by season's end in the other.
How can anybody argue with their effort against Vandy? But, you're trying to project these results onto the rest of our SEC schedule.
I will say this. I'd take my chances with our D right now. The concerns are most definitely on offense.

Not in every category just the ones I think our D will excel at.

Nice test but again he likes to stretch it to the sidelines........that plays into our hands
he's strong as heck too, and breaks tackles. He's all they have, but it will be a test to stop him.

I don't see UF being able to convert short yardage all year.
still have to respect their speed. It wont be a cake walk.

I agree never said it would be...
All I'm trying to say is after two games of evidence I like our D's matchups on the schedule minus Mallett.

which team, UNC or Vandy, will be anything like those teams we are going to play?
thats what im saying. Its not a good test at all. And we failed vs UNC pretty much

Rivers was not recruited by any other SEC School' He plays for Athens High that has not won a game so far this year. He certainly has the height & weight if only we have a coach to coach him up.

I'm not basing this off the offense we went against.......I'm basing it off what we are doing well and what we will continue to get better at compared to what the upcoming teams do well.

Has anyone really thrown a screen on us yet this season? That is one area of concern for our aggressive front seven.

How did Joe Pa end up with a true freshman QB this year?
Posted on 9/13/10 at 6:33 pm to bmy
I don't care about other teams' quarterback situation. However looking at their depth chart, they have a junior, a sophomore, and two freshmen. Bolden must be their best guy. LSU, on the other hand, currently has no projected starter for 2012. We have two scholarship quarterbacks on our roster right now, and they're both gone after 2011. Therefore our most experienced quarterback for the 2012 season will be a guy who hasn't even signed a letter of intent to play for LSU yet.

Name the good pro-style quarterbacks not named Manning or Booty who have come out of Louisiana in the past 20 years.

Mallet doesn't fare well when you get after him. We had him flustered last year until D got tired. I'm even more confident playing them with more depth this year and with hope the backers learn defending the flat by Nov.

Considering the skill positions that Louisiana pumps out I think it's obscene we haven't just moved to a system that utilizes a running QB.

quote:Agreed. But I think the secret to being successful against Bama is to have long, sustained drives on offense. The fourth quarter will get out of hand if our defense is on the field for 35 minutes or more.
IMO we are better suited to handle the spread teams. A team like Bama that can pound the ball could give us fits
