For the record, LSU lost to Alabama, 28-2, in 1997, and about a month later beat the same team to win the national championship.
Today and this weekend are pimples on a gnat’s arse when it comes to relevance once the regionals start. LSU will be a top-8 national seed, which is all you can ask once postseason starts.
