I just got back from my first trip to Baton Rouge. I had heard that you guys were a horrible fan base, but for the most part we were impressed with the fans. We got a ton a "TIGER BAIT"s and razzing from all the fans but it all seemed in good nature and fun. All the glad-handing that we got in Tuscaloosa was starting to make me sick.

We gave it everything we had at the beginning of the first and second halves, but it was obviously not enough and you guys really showed your depth and talent there. As far as running up the score, I always have thought that the point of the game is to score points and if we can't stop you, I don't expect you to stop scoring either. If we didn't like it, we should have stopped it. We have run up the score on teams this year so I don't see any difference when you did it to us. I also see it as a sign of respect for our offense, because we have the POTENTIAL to score and score fast (which we obviously couldn't do against LSU this year).

It's really unfortunate for us that one of our best teams that we've had in years has come on the same year that you guys are close to unstoppable.

I've always thought of LSU as this stupid "rivalry game" that has been forced on us with a stupid trophy, but it's really starting to pick up some steam over the past few years.

Good luck the rest of the year, and here's to some more good games over the next few years.

Well, I've been to every away game this season for the first time. Let me tell you this: out of all the fans I came across, LSU fans are absolutely the worst. Got cussed at every minute before the game today, hit with beer cans, and had my Arkansas license plate destroyed. Even had a fan come up to my car and apologize for LSU beating the S**T out of the "crap of a team you root for" and to "go back where I came from". I can't wait for next year.

quote:
Well, what did you expect? Their starting QB is felon who they bailed out of jail just to play football this year.

quote:
Yes! I have never met more arrogant fans that the giant trailer park known as death valley. When they started winning they rub your nose in it unlike anything I've ever seen. I am mentally exhausted from continually subduing my inner rage at the mouths that would not shut up. I hated it, the stadium was old and gross, the campus looked like an old neighborhood....everything looked dirty-much like the city. Yes I met several really nice fans, but geez they have a huge contingent of trash. I'll never go back to that scrotum of a stadium.

quote:
I personally feel that Miles' actions on the field today reflected the lack of sportsmanship and class within the entire LSU program. Fans, players, and coaches alike (admittedly with a few exceptions) are classless thugs. EVERY other program in the SEC looks like Mother Theresa compared to this bunch.

quote:
LSU is one of the most dirty, arrogant, and disrespectful programs I have ever seen. Les eats grass while his assistants churn out his wins. That said, I would have said that even at Week 1 before we did get blown out by them today. I hope Alabama gets their rematch and Saban rolls over the hated tiggers.

quote:
Oh yeah, forgot to mention that some LSU fans gave us the directions to the opposite side of campus than where we asked. We were among the last remaining hog fans to leave the campus thanks to them. God I hate them.

quote:
LSU is way too cocky and thing about them is that they can not take losing. Did you notice how extremely quiet the place was when we were up 14-0? Damaging ones car is down right class les. WMS is a lot nicer than Death Valley. There's a reason TV cameras never goes into the bowls of DV.

Hurricane season is over for the year isn't it?

quote:
Hey Honey Wagon, a hometown grand jury lessened the charges to a misdemeanor and protected your boy. This happened much the way the Penn State community "took care" of coaches that were known to be screwing the kids. What else would they do in Red Stick to keep a team on the field?

quote:
Outside of a few 6 year olds calling us tiger bait everyone was cool....before the game.

After the DHs came out. I had a man run up to us and ask what we were thinking when we were up 14.

I just looked at him and walked away (as my wife was screaming at him).

Most fans were cool but a few at the end left a bad taste in my mouth.

LOL. Are you naive or stupid?

An LSU fan tried to fight me on the dance floor at Walk-ons after the game.
Nevermind I had just been introduced to him by a group of friends 30 minutes earlier.
When he left in handcuffs, his 2 front teeth were still on the dance floor. True story.

totally true!

I BET YOU WERE ONE OF THE IDIOTS WADING IN 3 FT DEEP SEWAGE IN THE SUPERDOME WAITING ON SOMEONE TO RESCUE YOU AND TAKE YOU TO ARKANSAS DURING KATRINA.

I had a drunk lsu fan at the concession stand tell me that Garrett was going to transfer to lsu but died before he could. I almost slapped him. A cop was near by and heard him. He came over and told the guy to shut up and said if I had any trouble to let him know. The drunk said he was sorry about any sorry if he offended me he was just talking football stuff.

quote:
My sons were at the game and got the same treatment. We have been to away games at other schools and have always been treated well. At LSU people sought them out to curse them and abuse them verbally. This went on from the start of the game until they made it to the car. They were shocked how rude LSU fans were.

God, I hope we turn down a CapOne invitation for a Cotton Bowl one. The money/prestige is almost the same, and we would have a much better turnout in a much nicer venue.

very classy post. i wish y'all the best and hope you slaughter your bowl opponent. oh, and y'all have a damn good team, too. lsu and bama just have unbelievable teams this year but if y'all keep fielding teams like this and petrino continues to upgrade the defense, y'all will be a factor in the sec race for years to come.

Arky showed blitz. What did you want lsu to do? Run into a blitz? Petrino forced miles to call for a pass.

Then he whined about it.

Classy post khallos

But don't mistake "running it up" for what miles did yesterday.

Classy post. Thanks. While I am not a big Petrino fan, he is definitely positioning the Hogs to be a major hurdle for LSU to overcome every year. In my opinion, it is only natural for LSU and Arkansas to develop a true rivalry because of geography and the history that we share. Good luck to the Razorbacks in your bowl game.

You will and Cotton is more prestigious IMO. Ratings are higher and access is easier.

I would tend to agree that while you are definitely deserving of the Cap One invitation, the Cotton Bowl would probably produce a better Hog turnout. But if you go to Orlando, here's hoping that you do well .... and while you're at it, there are plently of places down there with plenty of gators that you can dump that a-hole coach of yours. You guys deserve a classier coach.

Legit question.

I just get sick of fans being more obsessed with being "classy" than being good fans. The point isn't to be nice, it's to win.

When we went to Bama, I wanted the fans to tell me that they were going to beat us, but they were too obsessed with being "politically correct" or showing "southern hospitality" to just speak their minds.

You don't have this problem in Fayetteville or Baton Rouge. We're more alike than either of us would be willing to admit.

Classy of you to come back after the game and man up.

However, that was not running up the score. Had we really tried to do that, the score would have been 52-17. We basically called the dogs off with about 8 min left in the game. Our run game and defense were plenty enough to close out.
