Was the dude paid? He was way off and wrong on the called out at first. Runner was clearly safe. Overruled!
The fair ball hit down first base line ruled out??? WTF? Everyone saw it was fair. I'm glad JJ threw a fit.
What happened when all 4 umps met at the mound right after that? Never have seen that before.

Despite him making the call on that play, which wasn't his call to make, it wasn't reviewable by rule.

So apparently only some rules apply.

He's lucky he's hot because he sucks as an umpire.

I thought all fair or foul calls were reviewable.

His name is Ryan Broussard and from a quick google search, his shitty umpiring has gotten him suspended by the Sunbelt conference in the past.

Deciding if a batted ball is fair or foul. The ball must first touch the ground or a fielder beyond the initial position of the first or third baseman.

I believe it has to go beyond the base to be reviewable.

But also anything between the home plate and the base is the HP umpires call.

Jay showed the 1B ump two fingers as he walked back to the dugout indicating the two plays he missed.
