Looked like many empty seats

Umm what? It was pretty full and then emptied out when we were up by 30... Actual crowd was probably 10k+ at it's peak

I think a big part of the problem is that we don’t really have an premium seating in the PMAC. Thus, all the older donors are rewarded with premium seats down by the court. If we were to build suites, that’s what they’d REALLY like, and then we could move the students and other younger fans down low.

Just got clap and make noise when we play defense. When people look at you weird, look at them weird back. They are the douche sitting and not making noise for our best team in 12 years. Enough people do that, then they will start following suit. I did it at Bud Walton and I got more than a few boos and stares

Actual crowd was a little more than 9,000. Over 2,000 with tickets didn't show for the game. 4,000 short of a capacity crowd. Source for actual crowd is TigerBait.com.

Bingo halls get younger crowds that the PMAC

I went to have a early bird dinner and a LSU basketball game was being played

Subtracting the PMAC crowd from Baton Rouge demographics drops the average age of the city by 14 years

We do when my crew comes down. We stand on big plays and yell and raise the roof. Fk anybody who wants to tell us to sit down. That place is like a mortuary some times.

The pmac is no different than tiger stadium in regards to who gets the lower sideline seats. It has nothing to do with being a big donor. People with lower sideline seats in the pmac are people who have had tickets for 40, 50, 60 years. If you have season tickets long enough, you end up getting your seats upgraded enough to end up with prime seats. Its not like those people started out with great seats.

1. It really is very simple: when we have consistent winners, our fans will be present and cheer more loudly.

2. NCarolina, Purdue, Kansas, Kentucky and many, many more basketball schools have students sitting behind the baskets sometimes at both ends. We just need to move the damned press area up to the 300s and make that area students as well.

3. One can yell and be a great fan, standing or sitting, from any section in the PMAC. That is a choice any individual can make. And more of us are doing just that this year as compared to recent years.

It wasn’t just the students though. Hardly anyone went to games during the 2009-2010/2010-2011 stretch.

Will Wade will get tired of our shite arena and atmosphere and bolt to another team. It's the Louisiana luck. Refs frick over the saints and LSU constantly so I wouldn't even be surprised if he leaves.

I’m with you man. I make as much noise as I can and the little punk that sits in front of me just looks back but screw it. Be a presence or don’t go

Following the auburn blueprint would be a good move IMO. They immediately turned into one of the best home court crowds in the league. If it doesn’t work well you can always move the students back to where they are now

And you don’t think winning the SEC had something to do with that?

AU became a great venue...LAST YEAR...which coincidentally was the first year they were worth a shite in a while.

Look at LSU football the last few years.

Fans were gone at halftime. At least the basketball fans stay lol.

Exactly, college kids DGAF, they'd rather be texting or playing video games or whatever else it is they do.

The crowd is older. We just need to create a new generation of fans and that comes with consistent winning over time, it won't come in a day or a year or even 2 or 3 years.
