Yahoo Sports mocks LSU AD Alleva's decision to sit in on film sessions with Coach O and his staff. What kind of message is LSU AD sending by sitting in on film sessions with head coach Ed Orgeron? Does Alleva know any terminology besides you're fired?

He should be filming instructional videos on how to ruin a college athletic program. He could make it a two parter for Duke and here.

It worked last week. Alleva is 1-0.

Based on your assessment, perhaps Alleva should sit in on the Saints meetings too.

Well of course he does! He is the football program at LSU. Just ask him.

If TD posters can be experts about football from using the internet, I'm sure Yahoo can too.

Maybe he wants to witness the exchange between others in the film study? How they are talking to one another? Respect, discontent, micromanaging, cohesion, etc... I'm sure Alleva is not providing football strategies and X and Os. He's there to see if the three are working as one as he planned all along.

If yesterday was any indication of the new Rant, I'm sure this thread will be anchored or deleted.

Like one of the most highly respected football insiders Chris Landry, Yahoo is not a very reputable source... LOL. Opinions of the mainstream media are not allowed on the Rant if said opinions are embarrassing for LSU.

It appears there is at least one admin trying to block the public from seeing and hearing the truth about the state of this program under Joe Alleva.

people discredit Chris Landry on here all the time. i think he was laughed at pretty regularly during the coaching search and his "inside info".

I take it as a sign that Alleva knows his own job security is on the line if O can’t turn this season around quickly

He may be mocked (as many in the media are at times, including Herbie and Edwards and Feldman and Finebaum and all of them), but Landry is indeed a football insider and is certainly entitled to his reports and his opinions, and for anyone - LSU TD admin or otherwise - to "block" people from reading and listening to what Landry has to say is ridiculous sensorship and makes no sense except for someone trying to prevent embarrassment for LSU, which is not the role of this message board. Let the facts and opinions speak for themselves and let the public decide who is to blame.

Serious question...

Does this make it to Yahoo if it isn’t brought to light on the Tiger Rant?

Well in all fairness to Alleva, he knows his arse is on the line if this hire doesn't work out. He's tied to this experiment as much as O is.

Absolutely embarrassing! LSU football is a circus under Alleva right now.

Which is exactly why RB10 and myself (and a few others) tried to share this news with the rest of the LSU community yesterday. This is the kind of stuff people need to know in order to make informed opinions and decisions moving forward.

Aleva may be making sure Orgeron lets Aranda and Canada coach as they were promised.

Sounds to me like Orgeron stuck his nose in the offense and it wasn't appreciated and now you have Aleva making Orgeron stay out of the coordinators hair. Jmo.

Well Alleva is the one that made a borderline irresponsible move and hired Orgeron, so if Orgeron is doing something he shouldn't be doing, who is actually to blame here? I certainly can't blame Orgeron for accepting $3 million and his dream job, wouldn't we all?

Alleva needs to be fired... yesterday.
