You are an ifs and maybes guy too. We did so it is irrelevant. You have to convert against Florida cause they will score.

Is that Chavis would be the DC and O would be our D line coach.

I could handle that.

Looking at his body of work over the last 14 years the guy has had the 3rd best or higher ranked Defense in the SEC for 9 of those 14 years.

at the same time he has never had a D rank in the top 5 of total D and scoring D. pelini accomplished this twice in his three years at LSU and he still seemed to have some obvious flaws. chavis isn't a great hire

Yeah we really converted when it counted. And we really stopped UF.

Really I can't believe you just said that.

I'm really gonna respect the opinion of a TulaneTiger...........Dude we aren't talking about MBAs and medicine we are talking about football.

Tennessee's D has NEVER, EVER been their problem.

Let me sum up this whole thread... three days ago everyone was ready for Miles to make a change on defense and Chavis was a good pick with everyone, but when change looks to be close everyone on here is knocking Chavis. Is this the Bamer board? What a bunch of douche bags. The fact is, you all will never be satisfied no matter who comes in. Get over yourselves

you are just frickin stupid, it is plain to see that the way we approached florida was retarded and the total opposite of what other teams that beat florida did

I personally hope not. Terrible time to be out of town and trying to get information

Like I've said though the Coach O stuff is legit and has been for a couple of weeks now. It really will probably come down to which school gives him a better offer.

Things are moving very quickly and some things could be in place by the end of the week. We'll see though I think it is still a little too early to tell.

Don't judge Chavis on the last 4 years when Tennessee's recruiting has been terrible

that's bs. their recruiting faltered a little but it was still way better than the level his D's have performed at. for example they've recruited better than AU over the past 4 years if you by star average

Auburn actually had Talent on offense. Remember when Auburn had 3 1st rounders in the backfield.

Tenn has had plenty of talent on d over the years, so the argument that lsu has soooo much more talent to work with is just stupid

My point is that Tennesse has had any offense the last 7 years.

the news that O would accept a DL job here is very encouraging. Hopefully he and Les can put the past behind him. We're going to need a recruiting machine like him

since their departure AU hasn't had much on offense and they've managed to do WAY better on D than chavis has

I don't think recruiting has been the problem at LSU.........O will only help that.......I want his intensity and emotion.

I met Coach O last year when visting Ole Miss with a former LB. He and my wife are best friends. He drank an OJ while we had a beer after his radio show. Spoke a lil cajun french together. Cool guy.
