I love Lexington. I have relatives there and a lot of family that went to UK. But eastern KY is an absolute shithole. It's worse than anywhere in WV

Eastern Kentucky is no different than Southwestern West Virginia. It's all coal fields. You wouldn't know you crossed the border if there weren't signs.

I go to WV for rafting often. It's amazing. I think the rafting is better in WV, North Carolina and TN than in Colorado. There are some nice rivers in Colorado (I used to live in Vail), but most of them are lazy rivers with a 2 and a 3 splashed in here and there.
