No. AD skill set is very different. Would you want someone with his game management skills managing a $100 MM-plus budget across multiple sports?

Who knows, but why would he at 60+ want to drop from earing 4.5 million to a pocket change AD salary?

Without a doubt, but that means he wouldnt be the HC at LSU.
He cant be replaced easily but if anyone could find the right guy, it would be him.
Miles expertise is leading terrific teams and developing young players for the NFL. One could argue he's the absolute best in the business at those two things. People just need to get the hell out tof the way and let him coach until he burns out. But he's as tough a SOB as there is and seems even after 11 years in this pressure cooker to be still going strong. Anyone surprised that Miles closed the deal on Steele and now Arranda late in the cycle? Not me. The man is a winner. If his state wouldnt have quit producing QB's and a certain short guy hadnt came onto the scene, theres no telling how many titles, he wouldve won.

The state never quit producing QBs. Miles don't know that you need one. Thanks to Jimbo we had 2 pretty good ones in JR and MF when Miles for what ever reason was given this job

Say what? Thats laughable. Where are they?
Jimbo needs to worry about beating the Houston's of the world. He's good with QB's I'll give u that, but thats about it, he's on the decline and so is FSU.
No one inherited a better deal than Fisher did at FSU and its already been passed up by Clemson and North Carolina and probably Georgia Tech and Louisville.
This guy would be eaten alive in the SEC west.
"Miles don't know that you need one"
What?
Come on man.
Miles understands his great teams deserve a good QB.
Thats why he has looked from coast to coast. Kansas, Indiana, Los Angeles, Maryland, Florida and several other outside the normal recruiting area to get one. And its why he hired Cam Cameron. Life would be alot easier if the entire state could produce one every, lets say 4 years or so. Its been an unbelievable drought. But he makes no excuses, he just wins. Open your mind, good Qb's are not growing on trees. Who has one in the SEC right now? 4-5* QB's arent going to leave their state and not be the focal point of the offense. Its why Saban has struggled with QB's as well.
Look at the final 4 this year, they are playing ball control and defense, jst like LSU does. These gimmick teams are not going to win the Nat'l title unless they hit on a Heisman type of QB and even then good luck against these SEC/Clemson/Ohio State (SEC coaches) defenses.

NO school should EVER hire a COACH who has RETIRED to take over an important, full-time position running the university's complete athletic program. This is absurd.
Skip Bertman and Barry Alvarez say hello...just to name a couple.

Could you imagine Les Miles' clock management skills trying to orchestrate improvements in pre-game and post-game traffic flow / parking logistics?
