Lee looked good in the spring game wearing a green jersey and where the pressure isn’t nearly as intense as in a real SEC game. The dude can’t handle the pressure and throws interceptions like the second interception that Chris Relf threw last night. Don’t believe me, watch the Bama and La Tech games last year.

10 29 to go in the fourth we are up 29-7
no JL.
Instead we get a JJ designed run play that gains three yards.
Two plays later we punt.

JL should have had the whole 4th qrter.
I just dont get it.

Yes...JJ is winning and his coach is showing him that he believes in him and that will give the kid confidence in himself in the long run. I think JJ will be fine. If y'all establish a solid run game and just start hitting some short passes with great regularity, y'all can win it all with that defense.

Miles knows that with y'alls defense the key to success this season is to not let the offense mess it up. I think they know what they are doing.

Scoop, you're a cool guy and all, but I gotta say, your use of y'all is painful to read. It's like it's injected by a computer translator that didn't get the right word.

The coaching staff doesn't trust him.

Its 2010 in case you didn't notice. Again Lee cannot improve but Jefferson can (but hasn't). Great fricking logic. You don't know what he is capable in a game because he hasn't had the chance. Anything else is fricking speculation, well, except for Jefferson only threw 16 passes the entire fricking game for 96 yards.

that is what he is now until JJ is injured

And when JJ gets another couple of big hits,
And lee comes in, he'll be cold with no game experience This season.

They are not being smart by not giving JL some meaningful reps. Our season could come down to him as much as they let JJ run. Yes, he should have been given the opportunity to throw the ball down the field. I totally disagree with this aspect of our coaching.

Les Miles: "Maybe it's simplifying the game plan, or maybe it's giving him the checks that he's most comfortable with and really let him have some input on it."

Seems to me Miles thinks Jefferson is limited to short and simple.

People say it would be bad coaching but I don't think they see the big picture... Let the kid get a few passes with a comfortable lead.

so if the time comes where jj gets hurt or is just having a terrible night, he won't be as nervous to be in. Waiting until a critical situation to let lee play is bad coaching IMO

I thought JJ played a decent game last night. His decision making was better and he was a little more accurate. Problem is, they (LM & GC) need to trust him more, if they can't, then there lies the problem. JL needs a few series during the game while the game is still in doubt. What is wrong with competition at the QB position, it's allowed everywhere else right? I personally think both guys can get it done, but let it be decided on the field, not in the mind of a couple coaches. Better to find out now than to bring in the kid when he has to perform because he's behind. If these two kids are as close as LM says they are, then let's see him in game action. He keeps saying he deserves a some PT, but doesn't give it to him. Either he does or doesn't, don't say he does, yet keep on the side forever. If he's your backup, then say he plays only if needed, simple as that.

and that would make CLM look bad.

And he will look good by putting lee in at a hazardous situation?

2010. A magical time when JL doesn't throw pick sixes and Republicans are for a balanced budget.

We'll fricking see dude.

JJ needs every snap he can get?

First and foremost, Miles doesn't call plays or have the same input on the offensive game plan.

Second, our offense is anything but simple. It's an option route offense.

To hand the ball off?

He threw one pass in the fourth quarter.
