1/9 was probably the absolute worst due to the magnitude of the game and what we were playing for.

But for me it has to be the the game against Tennessee in 05. Emotionally after going through "K" and the whole life turned upside down, that event created a sense of normalcy (even though it was a Monday night). And being up like that at half, it was finally going to be that night where we all were smiling and enjoying the moment. After the game it felt like someone had punched me in the stomach. The ride back that night was probably one of quietest ride we've ever had. For me that was probably the worst game I've experienced.

Florida 58 LSU 3-1993 was the worst. Other notables: 44-3 loss to Miami, Tenn loss after Katrina, UAB loss, Tulane loss in '82 (I think) when Reggie Reginelli scored winning TD for the greenies, many losses to ole piss, Kentucky killed us in the late '70's for our homecoming (Art Still blocked a FG and ran it back for a TD), 1973 loss to Tulane in the old Sugar Bowl(first loss to Tulane in 24 years).

1/9/12. A day filled with such promise but it left me feeling so empty. Thought we'd win and was psyched about hitting Bourbon St afterwards but my and our dreams were crushed.

It's surprising that only you and I mentioned 1999 Houston and few mention 1998 Alabama. I guess bc those were bad years anyway and the losses didn't matter.

The 2002 Bama loss didn't bother me much bc once Mauck went down the team was pretty much done.

2007 Ark didn't bother me as much as 2007 KY. Don't know why.

Losing to Miami (OH) 21-12 in 1986 is the worst game I ever sat through. To top off a crappy game was the fact that it was windy and rainy for much of the game.

Was it Wyoming in the mid seventies just after Thanksgiving when it was in the 20's. Nobody was there except the students that didn't go home for Thanksgiving.

Tie between Miami, OH in '86, and Miami, FL in '88.

"Awful" does not do justice.

The Miami game when we "out played" them but lost by forty something. Stupidest comment I ever saw.

For some reason, last years loss to Bama was one of the toughest for me.

Before most of you were even born, I was in Tiger Band for the worst game ever: Alabama vs LSU 1979. The rain came down in torrents (when the word "torrent" meant an extremely violent downpour.) Alabama was #1 ranked, and while we fought hard, we lost 0-3 on a 3rd quarter field goal that was made in a very short weather break. This was a true "mud-bowl". To top it all off for me, after being soaked all night, and a loss, my dad owned the company that cleaned up afterwards -- and he woke me up the next morning at 7am, and told me that his crew was short and that we had to head over to the stadium. I spent Sunday morning and afternoon 8-hours, cleaning up the 'Bama fan section. Since then, I've hated 'Bama even more than 'Ole Miss. Yeah, I just said that. I hate Alabama football more than 'Ole Miss.

Another "awful" game was one where we won - big. Wyoming 1977. We beat the crap out of them, something like 66-3. the reason it was so bad for Tiger Band members was that every time we turned around, we were playing "Touchdown". Over and over and over, it seemed to never end. Even Tiger fans started to root for Wyoming to stop the "at-will" scoring by the LSU offense.

Okay, yeah, so that wasn't so bad.

Was at that game (79 Bama-LSU). How could you knot dislike Bama more than Ole Miss?

Well, before that game in 1979, 'Ole Miss was LSU's main rival from the beginning of time for me. Since then, It's been Alabama.

In LSU football, I've deleted the 90's from my memory. '90's LSU baseball, I remember very, very clearly.
