I disagree. I am OK with 3 runs inside the 5 yard line. Its not so much runs versus passes called. It is more of the asinine play calls on 2nd and 3rd.

This thread would not exist if we passed and failed with 2 solid passing play calls. The shite burger calls on 2nd/3rd is what is being discussed here.

The TE(jacobs) was tackled in the endzone or the play would have worked. But i do agree that was horrid playcalling anyway you look at it

Look again. Jarvis Landry was in the back of the end zone. The fact that he was being held as if he were slow dancing with the defensive back is another story.

In a game that had many horrible calls, I'd agree that this was the worst. Even ol' Gary had to question it.

It's one of those plays that, without a mobile quarterback, it has ONE SINGLE OPTION to succeed.

I'm all for bootlegs/roll outs in that situation, but not one WHERE THE QUARTERBACK BOOTS ABOUT 20 FREAKIN YARDS DEEP. Re watch the play - there's no telling HOW deep Mett was by the time he loaded up. That's a horrible play call inside the 5. That type of boot/roll (a deep one like that) should be reserved for places on the field where receivers have a long way to run past someone. Not inside the 5. Things happen quicker there.

Worst part is Danielson was kidding about rolling Mett out on 2nd down and then we did it. He said something like, "Don't worry Lsu fans, I wouldn't really think about rolling him out."
And then, on 3rd down, he said, "look for this play to involve McGee, Les was talking to him the whole time out."

more screens.

We ran a screen later in the game & it got stuffed. Yea our offense sucks but not sure why you are in meltdown mode over Miles. WRs are garbage and OL is decimated with injuries. If Boone & Beckham don't play like shite, we win that game going away.

I think that we are all at the ultimate level of frustration. Not that we cant lose, or we should go undefeated every year.

I think that most are just disappointed in the product being produced. I'm OK with a loss to UF if the team was fundamentally sound and and the gameplan put our players in the best position to succeed.

neither of those things happened

Throwing to a seldom used FB i guess is an attempt at creativity. And if we had run the ball and gotten stuffed everyone here would be bitching about the boring run plays and how we are scared to throw it in the red zone.

Bootleg to the right with only the fullback flooding to the goal line. The FB gets tackled. This was a one route pass play.

Not sure if you watched all of the games but 80% of our passing plays only involve 1 or 2 receivers. I cannot understand why miles continues to do. It makes the offense so easy to prepare for and stop in games.

every game, every play, every minute. then I watch the replay.

Here is the point. I'm OK with a one route fade to WR. I'm not OK when when a one route pass play it is to a FB who has not caught a pass in his career.

We haven't lost any receivers (that have ever played a down)and have only lost Faulk so far on the offensive line. Unless i missed something (4 hours sleep from going to Saints game) tell me where the "decimation" you speak of comes in. Sounds more like poor recruiting or poor player development.

jdrn, you nailed it.

I did not expect lsu to go the rest of my life without losing a regular season game. that's silly. it is, however, extremely disappointing to see a defensive effort like the one our guys put forth wasted in an offense that is this inept.

I think if we run the ball 3 times there we score, but you know what, I don't think it changes the outcome.

To me, Florida CLEARLY wanted to win this game more than we did, and I lay that squarely at the feet of the coaches. That said, there is a TON of blame to go around, even on defense, as solid as they were for most of the game......

1. Beckham - secure the dang football. the defenders you are playing now don't come from Ben Franklin High School, k? It's there JOB to strip balls. Our chances are so freakin limited, you cannot lose the ball in that situation.

2. Chief - when I KNOW that Florida is fixing to run over their right (our left), you may want to change something up to shore up whatever the frick they've found that they like over there. That stat of running 18 or whatever times in a row wasn't the telling stat to me - it was the fact that they ran to the same side.

3. Stud/Krags - our line can't pass block. Help a qb out by not making him drop 5/7 steps. Move exclusively to 3's.

4. Wing - we need EVERY PUNT TO COUNT when the offense is sputtering. We can't have you screwing one up.

How about Les using 2 timeouts to organize that horrific HB toss jump pass.
