re: Word of advice, don't boo

Maybe we should have Dr. Phil speak to the team from this point forward and address their feelings. Perhaps that will get through to them better than the coaches are right now.
da fuq?
quote:
Give it a rest, man. It's a free country and people can boo if they want to. If these top recruits are in the stadium and they can't handle the crowd then maybe they aren't top recruits. They will get lots of boos as they play on the road on the SEC.
Seriously? There's a difference between getting booed by opposing fans on the road and getting booed at home by your own fans as a Top 10 team in the nation.
quote:
By the way, it won't be the boos that drive them off, it will be the quality of offensieve play on the field and the future of doing that for 3-4 years that does way more damage than a few boos. There might be a few boos from the crowd from time to time but I don't see the whole stadium booing the team.
Yes, the offensive play on the field will be a huge part it in, but why are you acting as if booing can't have a negative effect? Who wants to play at a school where you will be booed for being a top team in the nation?
quote:
Some of you guys kill me; it's not the coaches fault, it's not the players fault, it's just bad execution and not being prepared. Nothing to do with either coaches or players, right?
I don't think I have to point out how retarded this is. Its pretty self explanatory.
quote:
I want LSU to come out fired up and take care of business but I REFUSE to accept just being a good team. If we accept 2-3 losses every year that is exactly what we will get. This game is huge as I believe it will set the tone for the rest of the year and possibly the next 2-3 years. If LSU can't get out of their current rut we will be back to 80s football.
Don't accept it then, but booing your own team isn't the best way of showing it. Its not like Les is going to change his game plan because of drunk people think they know the game better than he does.
quote:
All that being said, my LSU flag is already flying here in MO, my wife, my daughter and I will wear our jerseys for the game, #1, #7 and #8 respectively.
Awesome. Be a fan. Support your team. With all the negativity that's been going on lately, why is so hard for some people to do what they can to show the players that they support them even in the bad times?

And the fact that his teams never seem very prepared is the third.
Oregon and WVU and all SEC opponents from last year agree with your statement. Just eekeed out the wins for 13 games.

And one more thing, he's NEVER changed his his approach,
And LSU has kept on winning. but please carry on.

Bama's offense is a great offense.
Here is the prob. You are wearing the wrong colors. Please go back to the sidewalk.

Our offense is so damn undisciplined it's unbearable to watch sometimes.

Seriously. Do people just choose not to remember the fact that we throttled everybody we played except Bama?

False, I specifically remember people booing during the saban years.
It's the fanbase.

If your loyalty as a fan is contingent upon winning a National Championship, you are going to be miserable as a fan of almost any team. If that is your standard, then buy your Bama gear and jump on the Alabama bandwagon. But as soon they lose a game, you'll have to buy new gear and change teams again.
If you want to send a message about your dissatisfaction with the coaches or institution, simply don't go to the game. I assure you that LSU fans will be OK with you not showing up. Or better yet, don't renew your season tickets and don't walk around Tiger Stadium wearing your jorts with your 1 finger in the air begging for a place to irritate real fans of LSU. And don't troll the team's board.
But being the guy that shows up just to be an arse when things go badly but just as you expected them to go before you showed up doesn't make you a dedicated fun. It only makes you an arse.

Did you sleep away 2011 while LSU sored 500 pts and gave up like 150???
quote:
They don't have costly penalties that ruin drives like we do.
Is Bama playing playing with an almost totally diffent starting O line from what they started the season with or w/o their starting RB or with a QB getting ready to play his 3rd SEC game???
You need to wake up and smell the coffee or just get some college football smarts.

How many times do you fricksticks have to be told that the reason the fans are booing is because of the coaches. Has 0 to do with the players. Not condoning it, but when you run 3 times and then punt, people aren't going to be happy

How many times do you "fricksticks" have to be told that boos can't be segregated as to what/who they are directed toward.

I think this is part of the problem. We expect that to happen now that we have experienced it. It is not the loss to Florida or the close game at AU that ticks many off, it is the way we are playing and what that says about where we go from here.
We expected great things from this team that was "young" last year and it appears we have gone backwards.
Tonight's game will be very telling.

Says the dumbass fan that does, in fact, have the right to boo; And still chooses to do so anyway.
I suppose he thinks that it will help recruiting by letting the prospects on the sidelines know that the fans don't accept poor performances. That'll teach the coaches.

Because others are forced to experience what you do in and from your seat. Should you be allowed to strip naked just because it's your seat? Nobody wants to see that nor hear you express your negative opinions at a volume or in a manner that these 18-22 year old kids can hear it.
Being an LSU fan means being a fan of and supporting the students on the field. Do you think the players want to hear you booing or think you booing is supporting them? If you object to the coaches because they are professionals and you are convinced they are the problem, then stop supporting them. Email them your opinions. Call the AD and ask for a meeting to express your opinions. Or better yet, talk with your actions and stop buying tickets, stop buying LSU merchandise, stop buying the concessions, stay away from campus and watch another channel when the Tigers are on TV if you want. Those actions are the ones that contribute revenues that pay coaches.
But booing amateur athletes is childish and lacks class. YOu might as well boo your child for not getting the potty training down right away.

Its not so much losing 1 or 2 games a season as it ranking 90th or worse in total offense for the 4th year in a row.
