I mean, I understand injury, but this is every year. There has not been a bench since she arrived and it is getting worse every year. You follow LSU women's sports more closely..I used to watch all the time, but they don't play on TV anymore...in your opinion, which I believe is very valid, do you see Nikki turning this around or does this demise just continue until she is fired?
LSU women's basketball was just one step under UCONN and Tennessee in the mid-2000s. Still depressing they never won one title, but they were always in contention. This program is now amongst the worst in the SEC.

You think she went into the season intending to have 7 players??
She kicked her best player off the team in the summer, had one quit school in October, had 2 season ending surgeries in November, and now has one out with an illness and another out with a sprained ankle. She started with 13 on scholarship and now has at this moment 7.

Depends on what that means. We'll definitely be better next year and could be tourney quality but in terms of being even consistent top 15 team there's nothing there to show that we'll be anywhere close soon.

Not true. I posted this a couple of days ago in response to the same question.
First season (2012) ended season with 11 players
Second season (2013) ended with 8 players after one player flaked out and left, one got Guillaume-Barre Syndrome and one got a concussion
Third season (2014) ended season with 11 players
Fourth season (2015) ended season with 12 players
Fifth season (this year) down to 7-8 players
So attrition has only been an issue in 2 of 5 seasons.

I honestly think the group she will have assembled next year will have a chance to win 18-20 games, but there are variables. I have been led to believe the transfers Jackson and Neubert are pretty legit, and paired with Moncrief and Mitchell, that is a solid nucleus. Lots of "ifs" though.
