Dural is a speedster. Holmes has long distance speed. Dural smoked Holmes in the 200 at the state track meet their SR year. Dural placed 1st and he wasnt favored to win. A kid from Northside was.

Jeryl Brazil, from what I've read, sounds like he really has some speed.

I'd expect a lot of speed from Patrick Peterson's bro, Avery Johnson.

It's not so much that they aren't big bodied, is that they've struggled to get separation (which isn't necessarily a speed issue), and then hold onto the damn ball.

Exactly! I think the drops are behind them, but I'm still baffled by the lack of deep separation. And I agree that it's more about selling a fake then pure speed. I remember TM7 intercepting the deep ball against that Florida speedster who had to have 2 tenths on him in the 40. It was a well thrown ball, but the receiver didn't sell a fake, and TM7 had his shoulders in front when they hit stride.

True. But four more inches of height plus longer arms allows a receiver to catch a ball about 8 or 9 inches higher. This equates to about 2 feet of horizontal distance. And that's even better than two feet of extra speed because it's always there. A six foot CB can sometimes blanket a fast guy; he can never quite cover a tall guy, though.

If Mett hadn't overthrown about 20+ deep balls this year you wouldnt be saying this. We had some guys open deep all year, QB didnt hit them.

OBJ can run. He was open a bunch on fly routes this year, Mett just over through almost all of them.

if our WRs just catch the damn ball, it's not really something we need.

See: Josh Reed. Best WR we've had in the past 12+ years.

We had 2 problems this year. Mett over through about 15 passes that would probably been touchdowns & the receivers dropped 2 many passes right in their hands. Both are going to improve or we will be like this year. I am proud of this team but I think we can be better next year if theses things improve!
