You forget the Miles to Arkansas fiasco that resulted in a raise? And I think he got another one sandwiched between that one and the 07 Champs raise.

Right, but that plays into expect the unexpected with Aleva...Miles absolutely did not deserve those last raises and he got them from Aleva.

1 team I would be worried about is Louisville

I understand the allure of certain programs for coaches in football, but for basketball, I don't get it at all. If Will Wade is as good of a coach and recruiter as it appears he is, then what is the point of bolting for a program like Louisville if LSU is willing to pay up?

To me, it seems like Will Wade has a golden opportunity to leave a legacy of his own on a program that has storied players, but no real hardware to boot. Just seems like the playing field is much more level in major D1 basketball programs.

You aren't being realistic. Louisville has better facilities, fan support, and money in their basketball program and far more national "brand" recognition.

And while we still might be able to hold off big programs like Louisville, if a blue blood comes calling, it’ll be nearly impossible. Let’s enjoy him while we can.

I love LSU basketball and I want Will Wade to stay forever, but if he leaves for a blue blood, that means he did some incredible things at LSU.

Louisville is the richest basketball program in the country. Their program makes more money than Kentucky, North Carolina, Duke, etc.

If they want him, they will get him. (assuming money is the deciding factor)

Louisville is the only top level program that appears to be in the market for a coach in the next few years.

However, as much as we love Will Wade, he may not be high enough for them to come after him at this point in his career.
