With our current administration, would you be surprised if Will Wade gets scooped up?

I'm talking after this season, while the current administration is still in power. Don't be surprised if they fail to show WW the value he deserves. In fact, I'm almost expecting it.

Aleva would not make it out of Baton Rouge alive if he loses Wade on top of this debacle

He's got a six year $15M deal ($2.5M/year). It's also fully guaranteed, including buyout if someone else comes in for him.

Honestly, extend that man another year after this one and do 6 years at $18M ($3M/yr) on same terms. If someone wants to come swoop him up after next season, at least they are going to have to open their pocketbooks big time ($15M worth).

1 team I would be worried about is Louisville

Is someone gonna pay the $12.5 million dollars that the school would be owed?

This year? No. In 2-3 years, yeah. I'm bracing for the wolves to be at the door.

Teams will be coming no doubt. I hope that Tiger fans will start packing the Pmac and showing this team the support that they are earning. Let’s pray that WW falls in love with Louisiana and wants to continue to build on the success that he has started.
I wish that I had as much faith in Aleeva to do his job , but hopefully we will have a new AD by the time we have to cross that bridge.

If they lose Will Wade you may actually see a march on the admin building.

Better not fuch this up Joe.

I'd fully expect an extension after next season if not after this year.

I said this in another thread but Alleva being willing to give proven coaches money and extensions when other teams come calling has never been the problem. In fact, some of you have used this against him in the past for certain coaches. Les Miles and Arky CPM and Texas come to mind along with Aranda and A&M just two weeks ago.

Right, but that plays into expect the unexpected with Aleva...Miles absolutely did not deserve those last raises and he got them from Aleva.

Miles got his the year after going to a National Championship. We know where it went after that but at the time it wasn’t a horrible idea.
