Hopefully he can do for Special Teams what he did for the portal because this is abysmal

He didn't call Polian out at all. He just simply acknowledged guys were not quite in the position or execution standpoint.
Congrats to Doucet for asking about special teams in Mondays pressure. The after game presser had no special teams questions.
It is a mess, and hopefully an assistant will be hired soon. His special teams were a disaster at ND.
Culotta nailed it on his show as well. He mentioned in the past LSU had great tacklers and star players with speed covering kickoffs. We had Jarvis Landy, Laron Landry, Grant Delpit, etc.. Polian doesnt like to use star players with speed and can tackle so that may be the biggest problem.

He also just said coaching was the issue a whole bunch and the coach is Brian Polian.

I'm a pretty big BK fan, but it's pretty egregious to not realize your special teams weren't coached up until after two actual games

For the hundredth time, THIS IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. Polian has to have an on-field position to carry out his recruiting role effectively. Analysts cannot make any off-campus visits and are limited in how they can interact on-campus and via phone, text, etc. Kelly isn’t going to handcuff him and turn him into an over glorified recruiting secretary.
Kelly and hopefully a GA and some analysts helping Polian in his special teams role is the fix. Let’s hope it works, because the guy looking to nail down a top 4 class in year one of a rebuild isn’t going anywhere.
