Hire Briles !!

Who cares what anyone OUTSIDE the LSU Family thinks !!

This man will change the offensive style.... offensive recruits will come to him just like DBs to Corey Raymond and defensive players to Aranda !!!

Alleva better realize if he doesn’t let Eaux hire this man...... he will be in trouble as well if the program has bad record next year.

Can’t Fuuuck around with this hire !!!!

While I agree, I’m pretty sure this is the wrong board to put this on. Ponamsky only reads the rant, coaching changes, and soccer board.

I agree we can’t frick around. But if you had the option of Freeze or Briles who would better fit our program. Freeze is a winnner he beat Bama a few times. He is proven. But I love Briles offense. I would take either one..

Half the problem and wide open potential for other schools to negative recruit is shite like this. Canada isn’t gone. Speculation is the only thing that has him through the door.

If he leaves then yes briles would be great. Problem is he is still the OC at LSU.

Whole thing is a mess but our fan base does their fair part in blowing things out of proportion.

LOL- Canada is still our OC. If Canada is not our OC it means a deal is already in place for the new OC.

But I suspect there is no deal and Canada will be our OC in 2018.

LSU is not going to pay 3 million because the head coach and OC don't get along when it was the head coach's choice to bring the OC on board.

What is his offense? Wasn't Baylor his father's and FAU Kiffin's?

I totally agree with the option of Hugh Freeze over Briles... if LSU can ever get someone over that can run the power spread game we would be unstoppable... I just think a regular spread would not be successful in the SEC.. i.e Kevin Sumlin

Now they (Briles and Kiffin) both have different version of it, but I’d say what Kiffin ran at Bama for 3 years was the power spread. The veer and shoot (which Briles ran a Baylor) is a run heavy spread formation, but honestly it might be a better fit for the personnel we have here at LSU right now without a huge power back.

Briles will NEVER be a coach at ANY major university. Quit beating a dead horse.

"31 Baylor football players committed at least 52 acts of rape, including five gang rapes, between 2011 and 2014"

Ain't happening.

same as it was while he QB'd at Stephenville HS for his Dad. Spread passing with a power run. They won multiple state titles, he built Houston with it and Built Baylor into a top ten program, its simple, it works, and its extremely difficult to defend. Variations exist, but Briles was basically a pioneer for this version.. Just check out the rushing yards his offenses put up, its sick.. But you gotta have the athletes to run it.. no shortage of those in LA, he would do very well here...
